Operational Maturity Checklist:

  1. Are core processes documented end-to-end?

  2. Is there a single source of truth?

  3. Are roles clearly accountable?

  4. Are KPIs tied to process performance?

  5. Can someone else step into any critical role?

  6. Are decisions recorded and standardised?

  7. Is change managed intentionally - not reactively?

If you answered “no” to more than two - you’re not ready for automation or ISO yet.

AI adds value only when processes are defined. Compliance frameworks expose gaps - they don’t fix them.

Operational maturity is preparation.
